Light Painting
I am attempting to update this photoblog a bit. In late December, the OHS "Hot Shots" Photography club set out on a light painting photo safari with the Christmas lights around town. These are a couple of my favorite shots from that night.
I was shooting in Shutter Priority mode to get some action shots of the kids sledding down a huge snow pile in the school parking lot. With a shutter speed of 1/2500 I captured this shot of Claire throwing a snow ball down. I love how the details of the snow debris stand out and also how it actually looks as if Claire is defending herself from a snow ball being thrown at her, when actually it was the opposite!
